Arrival and Dismissal Guidelines

Arrival & Dismissal Guidelines:

• Grades 1–8: For safety reasons, we ask that all families remain in their vehicles during both drop-off and pick-up. Staff will be present to assist students as needed.

• Pre-K: We understand that you need to exit your vehicle to sign your child in and out. However, we kindly ask that you keep these interactions brief. Arrival and dismissal are not appropriate times for extended conversations with staff or to conduct business in the main office. These times are very busy, and minimizing foot traffic helps us maintain a safe and orderly environment.

• Building Access: Families should not enter the building during arrival or dismissal. Unscheduled entry during these times can cause confusion and compromise safety protocols.

• Busing: We recognize that there have been some challenges with transportation. Please be patient as the district and bus companies work to resolve these issues. Your understanding is greatly appreciated.

• Portion of Pre-K Parking Lot Closure – Friday, September 5: Please note that the portion of the Pre-K parking lot in front of the museum (Pre-K car loop) will be closed on 9/5. Do not walk across this area, and expect increased traffic. We recommend allowing extra time for drop-off and pick-up on this day.
